The NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota Team looking for 6th Win at Evergreen Speedway
The No. 16 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota team with driver Eric Holmes is looking to record a sixth win for team owner Bill McAnally and race partner NAPA AUTO PARTS at Evergreen Speedway. Holmes put the NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota in Victory Lane in 2012 after starting on the inside of row two. Two of the previous wins at Evergreen Speedway came from NASCAR Camping World Series driver Brendan Gaughan. Also with wins piloting the famous blue and gold NAPA car are Austin Cameron and Brian Ickler.
The speedway located within the confines of Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe, Washington, has been hosting automobile races since 1964. The track nicknamed “The Superspeedway of the West” by NASCAR racing legend David Pearson is one of the short tracks the teams from BMR look forward to coming to. Eric Holmes has three top-five finishes and two pole awards at the 5/8-mile paved oval.
“In previous visits to Evergreen Speedway, tires have been a factor,” said Holmes. “It’s been about taking care of the equipment and being there at the end. This year, we will be able to get four fresh tires at the half-way point of the race so we will be able to lean on the NAPA Toyota a little bit harder during the last half of the race. It will be 150 laps of side-by-side racing making it an exciting race for both the fans and the drivers.”
