BMR teams head to Sandia, New Mexico for the NAPA AUTO PARTS “150”

 

Eric Holmes and Chase Briscoe and the BMR/Toyota Teams to run at NAPA Speedway

Roseville, CA (September 25, 2013) –NASCAR K&N Pro Series West teams are heading to Sandia, New Mexico for NASCAR K&N Pro Series West race at NAPA Speedway. The NAPA AUTO PARTS “150” presented by NAPA AutoCare will be on Saturday, September 28th with the green flag dropping at 8 pm local time.

NAPA Speedway encompasses a dirt oval, a paved oval, a paved road course, a motorcycle flat track, a motocross course and a radio-controlled track. The NASCAR K&N Pro Series West teams will compete on the ½-mile oval at the 88-acre facility. It is located on Albuquerque’s Westside at the top of Nine-Mile Hill.

Piloting the familiar blue and gold No. 16 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota is three-time series champion Eric Holmes who will be making his 100th NASCAR K&N Pro Series West start. Holmes got his first career win in 2006 at Thunder Hill Raceway and went on to win his first series championship that year. He has 17 wins in the series and has led more than 2700 laps.

Making his NASCAR K&N Pro Series debut will be Chase Briscoe piloting the No. 20 NAPA Filters Toyota. The eighteen-year old who hails from Mitchell, Indiana is best known for racing a sprint car. He came by that naturally as his father; Kevin Briscoe race sprints for over 20 years and his grandfather, Richard Briscoe had been a car owner since 1976. It was only natural that once Briscoe was ready, he would take over the driver’s seat of the #5 Briscoe Homes print car, just no one expected it to happen at the age of 13.

At the NAPA Speedway: Friday will see action on the Clay & Paved Ovals with the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West and local classes running their features on the paved oval on Saturday.

The NAPA AUTO PARTS 150, a stop on the K&N NASCAR Pro Series West, will highlight a weekend of racing September 27-28that the best racing facility in New Mexico.

The two days of thunder will start on Friday, Sept. 27, with the Sprint cars, Street Stocks, X-Mods, Modifieds and Mini-Sprints running on the dirt oval at NAPA Speedway.

Saturday will be a busy night of exciting racing. Seven local classes will run a full show on the half-mile paved oval that will be capped by a 150-lap race for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series cars. The K&N Pro Series West starts and ends its season at Phoenix International Raceway with races at All American Speedway and Iowa Speedway included on the schedule. Up to 26 cars will be competing this weekend.

Tickets for individual nights or packages for the two days of racing are available. A $15 general admission ticket is available for Friday’s sprint cars. Tickets are $35 for Saturday with reserve seating at the start/finish line available for $50. Youths 10 and under free with paid adult admission. For info please logon to www.napaspeedway.com.
