BMR teams head to Kern County Raceway for the NAPA AUTO PARTS “150”

Holmes, Golobic, Briscoe and the BMR/Toyota Teams to run Inaugural NASCAR West Series race

Roseville, Calif. –NASCAR K&N Pro Series West teams are heading to Bakersfield, California for the inaugural NASCAR K&N Pro Series West race at Kern County Raceway, the NAPA AUTO PARTS “150”.

Driving the No. 20 Ray Scheidts Electric/Cobe Construction will be the 2013 World of Outlaws feature winner in Antioch and 2012 Ocean Speedway Sprint Car Champion, Shane Golobic. This is Golobic’s second start for BMR with his first being at BMR’s home track of All American Speedway.

“I am excited to race the No. 20 Ray Scheidts Electric/Cobe Construction Toyota Camry at the new Kern County Raceway in Bakersfield,” said Golobic. “Trip Bruce and the rest of the BMR team made great progress with the car during our test session last Friday and I am confident that we will be very competitive this weekend. The paved high banks of the beautiful half-mile in Kern County will pose another new challenge for me but I am ready to use all that I have learned so far to put the No. 20 up front.”

Driving the No. 99 Peak/T-REX Toyota Camry will be Chase Briscoe. The eighteen-year old who hails from Mitchell, Indiana is best known for racing a sprint car. This will be his second start for BMR. His first start for BMR was at NAPA Speedway last month where he finished in eighth place.

“I am very excited to be able to race again for such a high caliber team as Bill McAnally Racing,” said Briscoe. “This will be my second NASCAR K&N start and I look forward to racing on the new track. I learned a lot after my first race in Albuquerque and I am anxious to apply that knowledge at Kern County. Bill McAnally and the team have been awesome and supportive and I would love nothing more than to show my appreciation by joining them in victory lane and celebrating my first win together.”

Rounding out the three is the three-time champion, Eric Holmes piloting the No. 16 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota Camry. Holmes, who began the season running a limited schedule, is looking to break into the top 10 in points as the season winds down.

“I love going to new tracks,” said Holmes. “The series return to the Bakersfield area that is rich with West Coast racing history has been something the team has been looking forward to. It’s going to be a very competitive race and a great show for race fans.”
