Daniel Dye continued his strong form with a seventh-place finish at Homestead Miami Speedway, marking back-to-back top-10 performances in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS). The driver of the No. 43 Giuseppe’s Pizza, Martech Services Company Chevrolet Silverado RST, Dye charged from 22nd place after a green flag pit stop to work his way back into the top 10. This result marks Dye’s ninth top-10 finish of the season.

Dye began his day in “Vice City” in the seventh position after posting a lap 33.01 seconds in qualifying. After early complaints of being too free on the throttle he fell back into the 14th position by the end of Stage 1 on lap 30. During the caution, Dye made his first pit stop of the day to get four tires, fuel, a track bar and air pressure adjustment to help with the loose conditions.

The second segment went green on lap 38 with Dye restarting in the 15th position. The changes made by crew chief Blake Bainbridge paid off as Dye managed to gain eight spots and finish in the seventh spot by the end of Stage 2 on lap 60. Dye was called to pit road again under the stage caution to receive four tires, fuel, and an air pressure adjustment. The No. 43 Guiseppe’s Pizza Chevy restarted the final stage on lap 68 in the 16th position.

Dye once again demonstrated strong pace early on in the final segment, working his way back into the top-10 before the first caution on lap 75. Staying out with the majority of the field, he moved up to ninth as the race resumed on lap 82. Dye held his position in the top-10 until the green-flag pit cycle began. On lap 100, he pitted for his final set of fresh tires, fuel, and an air pressure adjustment, rejoining the race a lap down in 22nd. Showing consistent speed, Dye used the remaining 34 laps to gain ground, eventually unlapping himself and fighting back into the top-10. He capped off the day with a solid seventh-place finish.

Daniel Dye Quote:

“It was an up and down day for us at Homestead-Miami today in our Giuseppe’s Pizza No. 43 Silverado. It seemed like we kept having to fight back for our track position. Fortunately, the race finished when we were moving forward and got a seventh-place finish. Gotta thank all our MHR guys, sponsors and fans for their support.”
