Track Description: 1.017-mile tri oval

Rocking for a Bonus … For the first time since 2013, Daniel Hemric and the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) competitors will tackle Rockingham Speedway as the beloved one-mile tri oval makes its second return to the NASCAR national series slate. The driver of the No. 19 NAPA Auto Care Chevrolet Silverado RST has never competed at “The Rock”, as most drivers in Friday’s field, and still has a chance at the $150,000 “Triple Truck Challenge” bonus if he’s able to score his second victory of the season. Hemric captured the first $50,000 payout with a win at Martinsville Speedway and finished 13th a week ago at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS).

Rising to the Front … The regular season reached the one-third mark at BMS last Friday night, and Hemric has established himself as one of the mainstays at the front of the field. He’s led laps in four of six races thus far and is firmly fifth in the NCTS championship standings entering one of the most anticipated events on the 2025 calendar. Hemric was one of the many NCTS that participated in the two-day test session in January to prepare for his debut at “The Rock”. His previous track record at Dover Motor Speedway, another high-banked mile, suggests Hemric will be right in the mix on Friday, with a combined four top-five’s and eight top-10 results between the NCTS and NASCAR Xfinity Series.

Points Report … Six races are complete in the 25-race season, and 12 more are on the docket before the NCTS playoff race begins. Hemric has secured his place in the 10-truck playoff field with the Martinsville victory and is fifth in points, 65 markers out of the lead. He has tallied two top-five’s, three top-10’s and has a strong average finish of 9.2 with 20 laps led.

Tune In … Hemric and the tailgaters get back on track at “The Rock” on Friday afternoon with practice and qualifying at 12:30 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 2. Race coverage follows at 5:00 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1. Daniel Hemric Quote:

On making his first start at Rockingham:

“This will be an interesting weekend since not many of us have ever raced at Rockingham. The test was extremely fast with the new pavement and cool temps, but it should be much warmer on Friday. That test was really beneficial for our team, and I think we can apply a lot of what we did to our NAPA Auto Care Chevrolet this week. Even with warmer weather this week, the pace is going to be incredibly quick. Hopefully we’ll be able to move around a little bit, work different lanes, and be able to put our NAPA Chevy up front at the end. We’d love to take home the rest of that bonus money.”
