What “The Rock” is Cookin’ … Connor Mosack is in the vast majority of drivers making their first start at Rockingham Speedway this weekend as the track hosts national NASCAR events for the first time in 12 years. The driver of the No. 81 Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Chevrolet Silverado RST hopes “The Rock” is cooking a breakthrough as he looks to end a skid of abysmal luck that has persisted through the first six races of 2025. Mosack has captured stage points in multiple events to keep him within range of the playoff cut line with 12 races remaining in the regular season and looks to apply experience from January’s test session at Rockingham to Friday’s NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) return to the one-mile tri oval.

All Tuned Up … Mosack’s first laps in the No. 81 Chevrolet at Rockingham during a two-day test in late January. He and crew chief Blake Bainbridge were able to gain valuable data and track time during those sessions to translate over to this weekend’s 200-miler and jumpstart their campaign. Friday will be Mosack’s second NCTS start on a mile track, his first came at Phoenix Raceway last November where he finished eighth. Mosack also has three starts on one-mile tracks in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.

Season to Date … Mosack enters the sandhills of North Carolina 20th in the NCTS drivers’ point standings in search of his first top-10 of the season. He has showcased several examples of outright speed by earning his first-career pole at Atlanta Motor Speedway and led a career-best 30 laps, in addition to capturing fourth-place stage points in both segments at Martinsville Speedway two races ago. Through six races, Mosack trails the final playoff position by 69 markers.

Tune In … On-track activity begins at 12:30 p.m. ET on Friday afternoon with practice and qualifying, airing on FOX Sports 2. Coverage switches to FOX Sports 1 on Friday evening for the green flag at 5:00 p.m. ET. Connor Mosack Quote:

On racing at Rockingham Speedway:

“The test at Rockingham earlier this year was a great chance for our team to get comfortable working together. It’s going to be a really fast race pace with the new pavement and track positions will likely be really important. We have a full practice to dial in our Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Chevy and hopefully confirm what we learned in the test. I feel pretty good that we’ll have some speed when we unload and can hopefully qualify up towards the front. I’ve said this luck that’s been chasing us can’t last forever, and I think we can turn it around this weekend.”
