Another Drive in Wilkes County … The NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series’ (NCTS) third visit to North Wilkesboro Speedway (NWS) since it’s long-anticipated revival marks Connor Mosack’s first NCTS start in the hills of Wilkes County, N.C. The driver of the No. 81 Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Chevrolet Silverado RST is no stranger to NWS as he has multiple starts in the zMAX CARS Tour Late Model Series at the hallowed short track. Mosack most recently competed at NWS in the tour’s season finale last October and drove to a sixth-place finish.

Short Track History … Mosack and his MHR teammates have a prime opportunity to continue the organization’s short track success at NWS on Saturday afternoon. Over the last five short track events, at least one MHR entry has finished in the top-five, and the team has had at least one truck inside the top-10 at the last 10 short track races, dating back to Richmond Raceway in 2023. In the season’s first short track event at Martinsville Speedway, Mosack had a stellar top-five run going throughout the event and earned 14 stage points before a flat tire derailed his finish. He looks to post his first top-10 result on a short track in his first NCTS appearance at NWS.

Season to Date … Nine races are complete as the NCTS regular season is officially halfway and Mosack is currently positioned 20th in NCTS points, 79 markers behind the playoff cut line. His best finish this season of ninth came three races ago at Rockingham Speedway. Mosack has also tallied his first-career pole on the 1.5-mile Atlanta Motor Speedway and led a career-high 30 laps.

Tune In … Mosack and the rest of the NCTS field have a one-day show at NWS on Saturday, beginning with practice and qualifying at 9:30 a.m. ET on FOX Sports 2. Race coverage transitions to FOX Sports 1 at 1:30 p.m. ET. Connor Mosack Quote:

On the third short track race of 2025:

“North Wilkesboro should be a great opportunity for our team. The MHR teams have had a ton of success on the short tracks in the last year, and we had a really fast truck at Martinsville earlier this year, so hopefully we can translate that speed to Wilkesboro. I’ve run there in the CARS Tour last year and had a pretty good night back in October. It’s always helpful to get laps, but we’ll have to evaluate how much the repaved surface has changed from last year to this year. Saturday will be a quick turnaround between practice, qualifying and the race, so hopefully we can dial ourselves in quickly, qualify up front and stay up there all day.”
