Connor Mosack finally had a smooth and uneventful outing on Friday evening and scored a season best sixth-place finish at Pocono Raceway. The driver of the No. 81 NAPA Nightvision Chevrolet Silverado RST took advantage of the team’s raw speed and capitalized with a consistent effort that netted nine stage points to score the fourth-most points of the evening with 40. Mosack moved to 16th in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Trucks Series (NCTS) standings with a stout effort.

Raw speed has not been in short supply for Mosack throughout 2025, and he put it on display by setting the fastest lap of Friday afternoon’s practice. He followed that up with a 12th-place qualifying effort and immediately moved forward when the green flag flew. Despite being a touch free in the flat, sweeping Turn 3, Mosack immediately moved to eighth by lap four. He stayed there until a round of pit stops began just shy of the first stage caution. The No. 81 team elected to stay on track and collect eight points in third position at the end of Stage 1 on lap 20.

Crew chief Blake Bainbridge netted a handful of positions with a fuel-only pit stop under the stage caution and allowed Mosack to restart third on lap 27. Despite being at a tire disadvantage, Mosack held his own inside the top 10 during the second segment and banked another point in 10th position on lap 40.

Mosack was able to take four tires, fuel, and minor adjustments for a tight handling condition during the second stage caution. He restarted ninth on lap 47 and moved to seventh by lap 56. After some competitors elected to pit for fuel, Mosack lined up third for the race’s final restart on lap 62 with 19 laps to go. The inside succumbed to momentum from the high lane and briefly shuffled Mosack back to eighth. However, Mosack muscled his NAPA Nightvision Chevy forward to claim sixth position on lap 65 and ran there until the checkered flag for his second top-10 result of the year.

Connor Mosack Quote:

“Finally, we had a smooth day and didn’t have anything crazy happen. It feels good to run well all day, have some speed and finish around where we deserved. I felt like we were a little tight throughout the day, but the balance was pretty close on our NAPA Nightvision Chevy. We executed well in almost every area today, just need a little more. Hopefully this gets us going and we’ll start putting these runs every week.”
