Back to Work … Kris Wright is back for a second-consecutive start with MHR at Talladega Superspeedway after making his season debut in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Trucks Series (NCTS) one race ago at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL. The driver of the No. 16 F.N.B. Corporation Chevrolet Silverado is primed to make his second-career NCTS appearance at the biggest superspeedway on the planet and hopes to rekindle some of his prior superspeedway success.
Superspeedway Student … Friday afternoon’s showdown in ‘Dega marks his fourth start overall at the 2.66-mile tri-oval. The Pennsylvania product has one start worth of experience in the NCTS, NASCAR Xfinity Series, and the ARCA Menards Series (AMS) at Talladega. In 2024, Wright earned his best-career AMS result with a runner-up finish in his first ‘Dega appearance. His first NCTS start at the Alabama superspeedway also netted a track best 12th-place result. Wright looks to notch the second top-10 result for the No. 16 entry and crew chief Darren Fraley in the team’s fourth start of the season.
Tune In … On-track activity gets underway at 12:30 p.m. ET on Friday with qualifying on FOX Sports 2, followed by the green flag at 4:00 p.m. ET on FOX network. Stay connected with the No. 16 F.N.B. Kris Wright Quote:
On making his second NCTS Talladega start:
“It’s great to be back for a second-straight race with Darren (Fraley) and the MHR team. It definitely helps to run back-to-back races and have some familiarity with the team. It’s always exciting to race at Talladega. Hopefully we can work with our teammates throughout the day and keep our F.N.B. Corporation Chevrolet in the mix all race. This is the biggest team I’ve raced with, so hopefully we can all work with each other and stay in contention until the end.”
