Two to Go … Jack Wood, driver of the No. 91 Adaptive One Calipers Chevrolet Silverado RST heads up to Ridgeway, VA for the Slim Jim 200 at Martinsville Speedway, coming off the heels of a hard-fought finish at Talladega Superspeedway last Friday. Wood and the No. 91 team had a great run in the front of the pack for the majority of the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) event until a move to the outside lane sent them to fall back and settled for a 21st- place finish. Two races remain in the 2025 NCTS season and Wood is still hunting down his first career win.
Short Track Scene … This race will mark Wood’s sixth NCTS career start at the 0.526 – mile short track. The young driver is no stranger to the short track scene as he currently has 19 starts on tracks measuring under a 1.5-miles in length. The Loomis, Calif. native’s best short track finish came at Rockingham Speedway earlier this Spring where he finished seventh. The 25-year-old is looking to better that finish at Martinsville this Friday night under the lights and collect his first NCTS career victory at “The Paperclip”.
Tune In … Television coverage on the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series event will begin Friday with qualifying starting at 2:00 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 2 followed by the green flag for the Slim Jim 200 at 6:00 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1. Jack Wood Quote:
“Martinsville has never really been good to me in the past and we always find ourselves in some sort of trouble so I hope that is not the case this weekend and we can grab a solid finish out of the evening. Josh and the guys have always given me such a stout short track package that I am super confident we will have a good truck to start and end the race.”
