Luck in the Irish Hills … Daniel Hemric hopes southern Michigan’s Irish Hills region brings him a stroke of good fortune as the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Trucks Series arrives at the fastest track on the circuit. The driver of the No. 19 Cloyes, Rotomaster Chevrolet is focused on recharging his season as the most demanding six-week stretch of the NCTS tour resolves at Michigan International Speedway (MIS). While Hemric has scored 30 or more points in three of the last five races, he and crew chief Kevin Bellicourt aim to elevate their performance at MIS and pursue their first victory of the season.
Motor City History … Hemric has found success at MIS in all three of NASCAR’s national series throughout his career and was within reach of the checkered flag last season. In the NCTS’ return to the Irish Hills in 2025, Hemric was in the act of passing for second position on an overtime restart when a flat left front tire ended his bid for victory. Two of his three NCTS starts at MIS have resulted in top-10 finishes, including a podium result in 2016. His five NASCAR Xfinity Series starts also netted a pair of top-10 runs and a 12th-place finish in the NASCAR Cup Series (2019). Hemric hopes to lead MHR to the organization’s first checkered flag outside the Motor City on Saturday afternoon.
Season to Date … Seven races remain until the “Chase” begins for the NCTS championship and Hemric is tied for ninth in the drivers’ points standings. Through 11 races, he has accumulated one top-five and four top-10 results, along with a stage win at Watkins Glen International. He currently holds a six-point cushion on the provisional cut line.

Daniel Hemric Quote:
On returning to MIS:
“The second half of the race last year, we got our truck handling well and were up in the top-five, in position to race for the win. I think our team has a lot better idea of what we need in our Cloyes, Rotomaster Chevrolet this weekend. Michigan is a super-fast place, even in a truck. It’s definitely unique in the fact that you need to have a good balance, but you also need a lot of pace down the straightaway and draft effectively, especially after restarts when the field is bunched up. If we can marry the balance and speed together, I feel like we’ll have a good day on Saturday and just need to execute at a high level.”
