Penultimate Race… Kris Wright and the No. 81 F.N.B. Corporation team for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing (MHR) make the short trip from Statesville, N.C. to Martinsville Speedway for round 24 of the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) season. The 0.525-mile oval in Ridgeway, Va., has been a successful venue for MHR, with three wins across the past two seasons. Teammate Christian Eckes swept both races at Martinsville in 2024, while Daniel Hemric earned the victory last spring. With just one race at the track on this year’s schedule, Wright and his teammates look to extend MHR’s success at Martinsville and capture four wins in the last five races held at the facility.

Career Best… Wright returns to Martinsville for his sixth career start at the circuit across the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) and NCTS. The Pittsburgh, Pa., native earned his first career top-10 with a ninth-place finish in the NXS spring race last season. In the NCTS, Wright recorded a 13th-place finish in 2021 and finished 16th in 2023. With a strong track record at Martinsville, Wright looks to build on his previous success and improve upon his season-best finish of 13th, recorded at Naval Base Coronado.

Season to Date… With 23 races complete in the 2026 NCTS season, Wright and the No. 81 F.N.B. Corporation team have two races remaining on the schedule. Wright sits 24th in the driver standings with six top-20 finishes this season. He also recorded a season-best 12th-place starting position last weekend at Talladega Superspeedway and looks to carry that qualifying speed into Martinsville.

Kris Wright Quote:
“I’m glad to be back at Martinsville after earning my first career top-10 here last year. I love racing at this place because you have to roll up your sleeves and work for every position. We’ve struggled a bit on the short tracks this season, but our organization has brought some speed, and I’m confident we can unload fast this weekend. Hopefully, we can close out F.N.B. Corporation’s primary sponsorship slate with a strong run and get them a good result Friday night.”
