Strengthen the Grip … Daniel Hemric returns to Martinsville Speedway in hopes to continue MHR’s stranglehold at the track on Friday night. The driver of the No. 19 Arnott Suspension Products Chevrolet Silverado RST is looking to score the organization’s fourth victory at the 0.526-mile short track in the last five races. Hemric took home his first grandfather clock last spring and captured the organization’s third one-two finish with teammate Tyler Ankrum in second. Hemric enters the penultimate race seventh in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Trucks Series (NCTS) Chase standings within reach of the top-five.

Regain the Momentum … Hemric hopes the Virginia Commonwealth can provide a spark to reignite the No. 19 team’s momentum. He and the Arnott Suspension Products team had a tremendous start to the NCTS Chase with three top-10 results in the first four races. Last week’s wild card at Talladega Superspeedway dealt Hemric a DNF after an early incident and threw a wrinkle in his Chase run. Since Richmond Raceway in August, Hemric has been on a season-high run with five top-10 finishes over the last seven races. The 2021 NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) champion has 17 Martinsville starts across the three national series, seven of which in NCTS competition. His victory at the “Paperclip” last season is one of three top-five’s he’s scored between his NCTS and NXS exploits at the half mile.

Season to Date … Three consecutive top-10 runs in the Chase briefly bumped Hemric inside the top-five in the NCTS Chase standings but enters Martinsville seventh in the standings. Hemric has scored three top-five’s and 11 top-10 results with one stage win and an average finish of 14.7.

Tune In … Action from the “Paperclip” commences at 12:30 p.m. ET Friday afternoon with practice and qualifying on FOX Sports 2. Race coverage begins later that evening at 6:00 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1. Daniel Hemric Quote:

On returning to Martinsville:

“This is a place where our organization as a whole has a lot of potential and great results. We found a lot of speed on the flat tracks and short tracks over the last couple months, ever since Richmond. That gives our No. 19 group a lot of confidence that we can get our Arnott Chevrolet to perform well this weekend. There’s a lot of physicality, a lot of contact at Martinsville, especially late in the going. It’s a pretty short race being only 200 laps, so if we can marry the pace with some track position after the second stage, we’ll give ourselves a good shot.”
