Kern Countdown… 15-year-old Vito Cancilla is coming off his ARCA Menards Series West (AMSW) debut with Bill McAnally Racing (BMR) as the No. 20 Home Smiles / Impact Transportation team heads to California for the season finale at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway. Cancilla’s most recent visit to the half-mile oval came with the CARS Tour West Super Late Model Series, where he finished fourth behind teammates Keelan Harvick and Kevin Harvick. The youngster returns to Kern Raceway for the NAPA Auto Parts 150 alongside BMR teammates Hailie Deegan and reigning race winner Mason Massey.

Meet Vito Cancilla… Hailing from Martinez, Calif., Cancilla has built his racing experience competing across the country in both Pro and Super Late Models. Cancilla began the 2026 season by capturing the World Series of Asphalt Pro Late Model championship at New Smyrna Speedway after competing in all five races. He has since competed in the CARS Tour West Super Late Model Series, CARS Tour Pro Late Model Series and ASA National Tour. Across six CARS Tour West Pro Late Model starts between the Northwest and Southwest, Cancilla earned a pair of runner-up finishes on the Northwest Tour, including a second-place finish to NASCAR Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick in the Idaho 200. In six Super Late Model starts, he recorded three top-five finishes and five top-10s, highlighted by a season-best third-place finish at Wenatchee Valley Super Oval. Known as “The Torpedo,” Cancilla has continued to expand his experience across multiple series as he builds his racing career in the AMSW.

Bullring Recap… Vito Cancilla made an impressive first impression in his AMSW debut, driving the No. 20 Home Smiles / Impact Transportation Chevrolet SS to a fourth-place finish in the Kyle Busch Classic at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Just one day after turning 15, Cancilla showed strong pace and composure throughout the race, steadily working his way forward and battling among the top-10. The Martinez, Calif., native continued to make progress throughout the 167-lap event, putting himself in position for a strong finish and securing a 4th place finish in his first AMSW start. Cancilla looks to build on his momentum and better his result in the season finale at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway.

Vito Cancilla Quote:
“I’m super proud of our effort in my ARCA West debut in Las Vegas. This Bill McAnally Racing team worked hard to get me comfortable and find the speed we needed to put together a strong run. Now it’s time to build on that and keep improving at Kern. I’m very familiar with the track, so I’m excited to see how it races with a stock car. Hopefully, we can put ourselves in contention and leave Saturday night with a trophy. Huge thanks to Home Smiles, Impact Transportation, Bill McAnally and everyone else who helped make this opportunity possible.”
