Redemption Run … Eric Johnson Jr. sets his sights on Sonoma Raceway this weekend for the fourth event on the ARCA Menards Series West (AMSW) calendar. Johnson Jr. has made one previous appearance at Sonoma last year where his race was cut short due to a transmission issue. Through three rounds this season, Johnson Jr. sits in the ninth position in the AMSW championship standings with a total of 83 points.

Familiar Grounds… This weekend is the first time in the 2024 season the AMSW will have back-to-back race weeks. The driver of the No. 19 Pacific Office Automation Chevrolet SS is looking for redemption after last year’s early ending at Sonoma. Johnson Jr. hopes to parlay his previous experience into a career-best outing to score his second top-10 finish this weekend at his “favorite track”.

Season To Date … This weekend will be Johnson Jr.’s fourth start of the 2024 AMSW season. The start of his rookie campaign has featured a top-10 finish at Kern County Raceway Park (KCRP) on April 20th. In the three races thus far, Johnson Jr. has earned at least 20-points in each event, with his highest point total coming at KCRP where he earned 34 markers. Johnson Jr. sits ninth in the championship standings, 34 marks off from the top spot

Tune In … The second and final road course event of the season goes green at 6:30 p.m. ET on Friday and can be streamed on FloRacing (www.floracing.com). Eric Johnson Jr. Quote:

Bouncing Back After Portland.:

“Our guys and I couldn’t be more excited at a chance for redemption this weekend. The No. 19 crew busted their tails all weekend long to get our Pacific Office Automation Chevrolet prepared for this weekend with the quick turn around. Personally, I couldn’t be more excited for Sonoma, given it’s my favorite track. This place holds so much history for my family and I as it’s where we came every year as race fans before I ever started racing. I’m hoping we can add our names to the history books this weekend and finally get the results all of our partners deserve.”
