Double Duty Finale … Jack Wood is closing the 2024 season with a double-duty effort at Phoenix Raceway in both the ARCA Menards Series West (AMSW) and NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) on Friday. The Loomis, Calif. driver will pilot to the No. 16 NAPA Auto Care Chevrolet in the AMSW finale and the No. 91 Mongoose Chevrolet Silverado RST in the NCTS finale. Wood is looking to secure his first top-five finish in the AMSW standings and is seeking his first-career victory. In NCTS competition, Wood is set for his 13th start of the year and looks to place the No. 91 team in the top-15 of the final owners’ point standings.
On a Roll … Wood has been heating up in the second half of the AMSW season with a string of consistent top-five efforts. He has momentum from a set of consecutive fifth-place finishes in the last two outings at Kern Raceway and All-American Speedway. Dating back to Tri-City Raceway on August 10th, Wood has scored three top-five finishes in the last four races, and hopes to transfer those results over to the NCTS finale on Friday night. Wood finished seventh in the AMSW season opener at Phoenix in March, and has three prior NCTS starts at the desert mile.
Season to Date … Through 22 of 23 NCTS races, the No. 91 team sits 16th in the owners’ points standings, 11 points out of 15th. The team has amassed three top-five’s and six top-10 finishes thus far with an average finish of 16.1. In his 12 starts, Wood has compiled four top-15 finishes, including a season-best 12th at North Wilkesboro Speedway. In the AMSW, Wood sits fourth in the drivers’ championship standings with five top-five’s and seven top-10 results.

Jack Wood Quote:
On ending 2024 with a double header at Phoenix:
“Phoenix will be a busy weekend, but a great opportunity to finish the year strong. We’ve really improved in the West car and gotten a lot more speed in our NAPA Auto Care Chevrolet in the last few races, so hopefully we can be in contention for a win on Friday. The No. 91 guys have been bringing some fast trucks too. It’s awesome to have Mongoose back on board this weekend, and excited to have them, USA BMX Foundation, and some local teens from Boys & Girls Club of the Valley join us at the track. Hopefully we can get a strong run for them and finish the season on a high note.”
