Jack Wood piloted the No. 16 NAPA Auto Care Chevrolet SS to a third-place finish at Tri-City Raceway in the long-awaited return of the ARCA Menards Series West (AMSW) to the half-mile tri-oval in West Richland, Washington. Wood qualified the No. 16 NAPA Auto Care Chevrolet SS in the fourth position, then quickly overtook the third-place position once the green flag flew, where he remained for most of the 150-lap ARCA Menards West Series race on Saturday night.

During the halfway stage break at lap 75, Wood visited pit road for fuel and service from crew chief Kevin Bellicourt and his crew. Following the break, Wood rose to second-place for several laps but eventually fell back to third.

In the final 50 laps, Wood continued to maintain his position in the top five, through several late race cautions, crossing the finish line as he started, in third.

Jack Wood Quote:

“It was an improvement from Shasta, with a different car we made some changes to do what we needed to do to improve from Shasta. Obviously still not winning speed but, a lot closer than what we had. I appreciate all the hard work from the guys, looking forward to getting back in the truck and hopefully we can take a little bit of momentum from that and go out and have ourselves a good weekend for the AMSW race at Madera.”
