Back to a Familiar Place … Connor Mosack returns to one of his most familiar tracks, Kansas Speedway, looking for a way back to the front of the field in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS). The driver of the No. 81 MKS Pipe & Valve Co. Chevrolet Silverado RST recently scored his first top-10 finish of the season but seeks to return to the front of the field. The 26-year-old has enjoyed some of his career highlights in Kansas City, including two victories in the ARCA Menards Series and a front row qualifying effort last September. Mosack and the No. 81 team hope to rekindle that previous success and generate momentum for their season.
Kansas History … In the NCTS’ most recent visit to Kansas City, Mosack delivered a performance that put him on the radar of many in the series. He qualified on the outside of the front row and turned in a sturdy effort to record a 10th-place finish. Kansas is also the site of his two ARCA Menards Series victories in 2023 and 2024. Mosack posted top-10 finishes in three races on 1.5-mile tracks in 2024 and looks to add to that on Saturday evening in his third NCTS Kansas start.
Season to Date … Through seven of 18 regular season races, Mosack is currently positioned 20th in NCTS points, 69 markers behind the playoff cut line. His best finish this season occurred at Rockingham Speedway where he scored a ninth-place result. Mosack earned his first-career NCTS pole on the 1.5-mile Atlanta Motor Speedway and led a career-high 30 laps in February.
Tune In … On-track activity begins 2:00 p.m. ET Saturday afternoon with practice and qualifying on FOX Sports 2, followed by the green flag at 7:30 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1. Connor Mosack Quote:
On returning to Kansas:
“Kansas has always been a good place for me. I enjoy racing there since it has so many options and lanes available. There’s been some good memories with a couple of ARCA wins and we ran well last fall with a top-10 finish. It’d be great to do that again with our MKS Pipe & Valve Company Chevy on Saturday night. Our season definitely hasn’t had the results that we want, but our team knows the capability and potential is there. We’re still within reach of the playoffs and that’s our goal, so we want to take a big positive step towards that this weekend at Kansas.”
