Long-Term Agreement With BMRP Announced For All American Speedway
• New Management Team For Racing At Roseville Track
ROSEVILLE, Calif. (April 30, 2018) – Bill McAnally Racing Promotions has obtained a long-term contract for the operation of all motorsports events at All American Speedway in Roseville, it was announced today.
The announcement was great news to many in the community, particularly local competitors and race fans, who have been anxious to see improvements come to the facility.
“We’re very excited about the opportunity to develop the speedway into a successful motorsports attraction,” said BMRP’s Bill McAnally. “We’re proud to partner with Placer County and Placer Valley Tourism in making this happen and for the speedway to be a part of the future of @the Grounds.
“We want it to be a place for families to get together and enjoy some great entertainment,” McAnally said. “I remember what it was like when I raced there. We see the potential for the speedway, based on the success we’ve experienced in recent years with the big October event.”
That annual event, promoted by BMRP, has been cited as the biggest one-day event of the year in Placer County.
“We want to build on that energy and excitement,” McAnally said.
BMRP is bringing in key personnel with a wealth of experience to anchor the speedway’s new management team. Frank Jordan, a familiar face to many in the racing local community, will head that group as the Director of Competition. Steve Fensler brings his extensive background in racing and will serve in a strategic position as Technical Advisor in support of Jordan. Kevin Green, with nearly 20 years at NASCAR and a racing resume that stems back to his work at All American Speedway, will oversee the public relations effort.
The Placer County Fairgrounds, where the track is located, was renamed @the Grounds after Placer Valley Tourism took over management of the 61-acre property last July and began a renovation project of more than $40 million for the repair and updating of existing buildings and parking lots.
The renovation makes this a great time to start making changes to the speedway, McAnally said.
A big part of his plan will focus on community involvement.
“The track is part of the community and we want the community to benefit from its success,” he said. “Our aim is for the venue to be an asset to the local area. It will take a lot of hard work and won’t happen overnight. That’s why it was vital to make this a long-term deal.”
McAnally expressed his gratitude to local officials for their effort in working out the terms of this new deal for operation of the track.
“I’m grateful to everyone involved for their continued efforts in reaching this agreement,” McAnally said. “Officials from PVT, the county, and the city all worked hard to make this happen. It’s important for us to have all the different agencies supporting this plan.”
McAnally emphasized the need to be a good neighbor in operating the facility. He plans to feature top-level motorsports events, but with fewer events overall.
As a local businessman, McAnally and his companies have been recognized on numerous occasions for their role in the community – working with area civic leaders, business owners, and service clubs; and donating to charitable groups. Through its events, BMRP has provided support to the Placer Breast Cancer Foundation, as well as various other local organizations and campaigns.
With the multimillion dollar renovation project continuing @the Grounds through this year, the speedway will operate with a trimmed schedule of events this season. The season is tentatively scheduled to start with a big kick off on June 16. The annual NASCAR K&N Pro Series West event is slated for Oct. 13.
Divisions slated to compete at the historic third-mile paved oval include the Jr. Late Model Series, Late Model Series, Super Stock A Series, Super Stock B Series, Limited Modified Series, and F4 Series.
Discussions about future events at All American Speedway, meanwhile, have involved significant motorsports associations, including the Nitro Circus Tour.
While he sees good things for the track this year, McAnally stressed the need to view this effort on a long-term basis.
“We plan to lay the foundation this year to build on as we move ahead,” he said. “As we pointed out, this is a long-range program and will take some time; but we know the potential is there to develop a great facility for Roseville and Placer County.”
McAnally owns two NAPA AutoCare Centers in the local area and operates his championship multi-team NASCAR K&N Pro Series race program from his Roseville facility. His involvement at All Amercian Speedway goes back more than 30 years.
BMR has retained the same track phone number of 916-786-2025 to call for information about the speedway.
