K&N West Returns To Historic Evergreen Speedway

• BMR To Field 2-Car Lineup At Historic Washington Track

ROSEVILLE, Calif. (Aug. 12, 2014) – The NASCAR K&N Pro Series West heads back to the Pacific Northwest this week to one of the most historic tracks on the circuit – Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington.

The NAPA AUTO PARTS/Toyota 150 on Saturday marks the 54th series visit to the .646-mile track, which is celebrating its 60th season this year.

Bill McAnally Racing will field a two-car effort, with Brandon McReynolds making his first Monroe start in the No. 16 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota and 17-year-old Gracin Raz making his series debut in the No. 99 NAPA Filters Toyota.

The series opened the month of August with the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East-West combination race at Iowa Speedway – where McReynolds finished 14th overall, third among the K&N West competitors. The 23-year-old Mooresville, North Carolina driver is third in the championship standings – with one pole, seven top five and eight top 10 finishes in nine starts this season.

McReynolds, in his first full season of series competition, is a member of the NASCAR Next program that spotlights NASCAR’s rising stars.

Raz of Lake Oswego, Oregon, began racing at the age of 6. He initially competed in quarter midgets, before moving to a Pro4 Late Model and more recently super late models. He caught the attention of BMR crew chief Jeff Jefferson, who worked with him at a late model race earlier this year.

“When we began our season this year, I had hoped we might have an opportunity to make an appearance at a K&N West event in 2015,” Raz said. “I am more than excited, and humbled, to have this opportunity surface so soon and know how rare this opportunity is.”

The NAPA AUTO PARTS/Toyota 150 is the 10th event on a14-race schedule. It will be televised on FOX Sports 1 on Aug. 22 at 10 a.m. ET.

Evergreen Speedway is located at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds, about 30 miles from Seattle.
