Stateline Race Marks Return Of NAPA Belts & Hoses To BMR
• Primary Sponsor For K&N Pro Series West Title Contender
POST FALLS, Idaho (July 11, 2015) – The NAPA AUTO PARTS / Toyota 150 at Stateline Speedway on Saturday marked the return of NAPA Belts & Hoses as a primary sponsor on Bill McAnally Racing’s No. 99 Toyota driven by Chris Eggleston, the leader in the championship standings in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West.
“It’s great to have NAPA Belts & Hoses back with us as we battle for this year’s championship,” said BMR President Bill McAnally. “We’re grateful to everybody at Gates/NAPA Belts & Hoses for being a part of the program this year.”
Eggleston and his BMR teammate, Brandon McReynolds, qualified fourth and fifth, respectively, at Stateline. Eggleston charged into second at the start of the race. He charged into the lead for five laps early in the race, then slipped back to second. He appeared in a position to challenge for his third win of the year, when contact from another car on Lap 108 car spun him around. Eggleston battled back, but got turned around again in a second incident late in the race that left him to finish 11th.
McReynolds had the No. 16 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota in the top five throughout the event and was battling for second 20 laps from the finish when a suspension bracket broke. Nevertheless, he battled on to finish eighth.
Eggleston of Erie, Colorado maintained his lead in the standings as the series heads into the second half of the season. He has two wins, four top-five, and five top-10 finishes in seven starts.
McReynolds remains ninth in the standings. The 24-year-old from Mooresville, North Carolina has one win and four top-10 finishes in seven starts.
The NAPA AUTO PARTS / Toyota 150 will be televised on NBCSN on July 16.
NAPA Belts & Hoses was with BMR from 1998 to 2004, during which time the team won three of its five series championships. In addition to the Idaho race, the company will also serve as the primary sponsor on the No. 99 Toyota at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington in August and All American Speedway in Roseville, California in October.
In returning as a primary sponsor with BMR, NAPA Belts & Hoses will use the opportunity to promote its I60/R90 campaign, which is a special program to get the word out to shop owners about the inspection and replacement of serpentine belts on vehicles, and also promote its new serpentine belt launch “Power OE.”
“We are working to help NAPA Belts & Hoses increase awareness of their I60/R90 program and new serpentine belt,” said McAnally, who owns and operates two NAPA AutoCare Centers. “These are important programs in keeping our customers’ vehicles performing like new.”
