The Tricky Triangle Awaits … Tyler Ankrum, driver of the No. 18 LIUNA Chevrolet Silverado RST is off to Pocono Raceway this weekend for the Miller Tech Battery 200 Friday evening. Ankrum has made six previous NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) starts at the 2.5-mile tri-oval where he has tallied two top-five and three top-10 efforts with a best of second coming back in 2019. The San Bernardino, Calif. native has an average finishing position at “The Tricky Triangle” of 9.5. Loyal partner LIUNA will also be seeing familiar sights as this will be their fifth appearance at Pocono riding along side the young driver.

Season To Date … The young driver has had a tough go-around with the last few races but they are ready to turn that bad luck around this weekend at Pocono. Ankrum solidified a spot in the NCTS Playoffs with a victory at Rockingham earlier in the season and has been on the heels of another top-spot finish ever since. With seven top-five and eight top-10 results so far, the San Bernardino, Calif. native is hungry for that NCTS Championship. The field has just passed the halfway mark in the season and only five races left till the playoffs begin.

Spoiler Highlights … Ankrum and the No. 18 team are excited to welcome the Associated Construction Contractors of New Jersey (ACCNJ) to adorn the left-side spoiler of the No. 18 LIUNA Chevrolet for the 80-lap event at Pocono. The ACCNJ’s mission is to promote the quality, integrity, skill and responsibility of its membership by encouraging the practice of the highest safety and business standards for the industry. The Association works to unify the construction community in New Jersey through their efforts in labor, government and owner relations.

Tyler Ankrum Quote:

“It has been a while since we had a solid run at Pocono so I am really looking forward to getting up there this weekend and running this No. 18 LIUNA Chevrolet back into the top five. It has been a rough few weeks for this team but we ready to turn these results around and regain focus forward to the front. We will have a big group of LIUNA folks out there with us so hopefully we can stay in contention to get them a solid finish.”
