Rested & Ready… Tyler Ankrum is back in action this weekend at Nashville Superspeedway (NSS) after a three-week break. Right before the time off, Ankrum had a 15th-place result at World Wide Technology Raceway (WWTR) in Madison, Illinois. Heading into Friday, only four races remain in the 2024 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) regular season. Ankrum currently sits seventh position in the points standings with a 49-point buffer to the cut line.

Back In Blue… Ankrum will be sporting his No. 18 Ullico Chevrolet Silverado RST this weekend for his fourth career start at Nashville. The red, white, and blue truck had its most recent sighting at Bristol Motor Speedway earlier in the season where he finished fifth. Ankrum’s best starting position in “Music City” came in 2021 with a seventh-place start. In his two most recent appearances at NSS, he has scored back-to-back top-10 results with finishes of seventh and eighth, respectively.

Season to Date… Ankrum has qualified 12th or better in eight of the 12 events this season. His season-high starting position came at Atlanta Motor Speedway where he qualified second. Ankrum has five top-10 results this season with season-high runner-up finish at Las Vegas Motor Speedway which netter him 42 points. Ankrum led the NCTS points standings for the first four events of the season by scoring at least 40-points in each of those four races. He now sits seventh in the standings with four races remaining in the regular season and holds a 49-point gap to the playoff cut line.

Tune In … All of Friday’s on-track activity from NSS will be carried live on FOX Sports 2 beginning with practice and qualifying at 4:30 p.m. ET followed by the green flag at 8:00 p.m. ET. Tyler Ankrum Quote:

On his outlook for the final stretch of the regular season:

“The focus for our Ullico team is on securing a playoff position. We’re in a good position right now with a nice cushion, but we want to give ourselves more of a buffer and hopefully lock in with a win at Nashville. I feel good about our Ullico Chevrolet for Friday night. I enjoy racing there and have had a couple top-10’s the last two years, so this is a good opportunity for us. The last three off weeks have been a good reset, but I’m looking forward to getting back in the truck and working hard to lock into the playoffs over these next four races.”
