Date: Friday, March 14th

Las Vegas History… Tyler Ankrum, driver of the No. 18 LiUNA! Chevrolet Silverado RST, heads to Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend looking to excel his previous finish at the 1.5-mile tri-oval by one spot to land that first victory with McAnally-Hilgemann Racing. This event will count Ankrum’s ninth NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) career start in Vegas with his best finish of second coming at this event last season. The young driver had a great run and was in contention all day but just ran out of laps to catch the leader which led him to settle for second.
High Momentum… The San Bernardino, Calif. native is coming off the heels of a third-place finish at Atlanta Motor Speedway before the two-week break. He battled to stay in sight of the front row and in the closing laps he dominated the charge to be in contention for the win. With these high scoring efforts, Ankrum is motivated to keep this momentum going and score another top-five effort but even better, a trip to Victory Lane.
Spoiler Highlights…This Friday under the lights, Las Vegas Paving Corp., a contractor out of Laborers Local 872, will adorn the left-side spoiler of the No. 18 LiUNA! Chevrolet RST. The company was founded in 1958 by Robert L. Mendenhall and is now Nevada’s top heavy civil construction company. With 56 years in Nevada, they maintain the core values that were installed at the company’s inception.

Tyler Ankrum Quote:
This No. 18 team has worked really hard these past few weeks so I have high hopes for a solid finish this weekend. We had a real good run here last season, we just did not have enough laps there at the end to catch the leader so we settled for second. Big weekend for LiUNA! so I am super excited to see all those folks and hopefully be in contention to bring them to Victory Lane.”
