Keep on Fighting… Tyler Ankrum heads to World Wide Technology Raceway (WWTR) this weekend sitting seventh in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) points standings. Ankrum finished his weekend at Charlotte early after being involved in a racing accident early in the final stage. The driver of the No. 18 LIUNA Chevrolet Silverado RST has a 31-point margin to the cut line in the points standings as he makes his sixth-career appearance at WWTR this Saturday. He and the LIUNA squad are primed to bounce back in a big way and pad their cushion on the provisional cut line.
The Countdown… There are only five races left in the 2024 NCTS regular season. Ankrum began the season leading the points standings for the first four events. As he sits in seventh position, this is the highest Ankrum has ever been in his career this far into a campaign. He has amassed 320 total points, which can be accredited due in large part to his six 40-point-plus races. Ankrum has also earned the fourth-most stage points in the NCTS with a total of 88 points. The California native has also grabbed two playoff points from his stage wins at Daytona International Speedway and North Wilkesboro Speedway.
Season to Date… In the beginning of the season Ankrum qualified in the top-five in the first three events with his best being a second-place start at Atlanta Motor Speedway. He has also qualified 12th position or better for seven of his 11 starts this season. Ankrum started his season hot with scoring three top-10 results in the first four events of the season. Since then he has scored two more top-10 finishes with his best on the season being a second-place result at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Tyler Ankrum Quote:
On The Remainder of The Regular Season:
“This is the fun part of the season when the playoffs are in sight and our LIUNA team is excited for these last five races. We didn’t have the night we wanted to at Charlotte last week, but I think we’ll have a strong Chevrolet Silverado RST at Gateway on Saturday. It’s a challenging track with the two ends being so different. (Crew chief) Mark (Hillman) and his guys ran really well there last year, so I’m excited to get to the track and see what we can do.”
