High Results … Daniel Dye, driver of the No. 20 Champion Container Chevrolet for McAnally Hilgemann Racing is coming off of big strides for the fifth entry after staging big results in last weekend’s run at Nashville Superspeedway. The young driver was up against the weather but due to quick lap times in NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) practice before qualifying got washed out, Dye was able to make the show and rallied to a stout top-10 finish for the No. 20 entry’s first run of the season. With just one NASCAR Saturday series start at Michigan, the young driver is looking forward to his first NCTS career appearance in the Irish Hills at Michigan International Speedway (MIS) this Saturday afternoon for the 125-lap event.
Big Tracks, Top Speeds … This may be Dye’s first NCTS career start at Michigan but the driver of the No. 20 Chevrolet is no stranger to the biggest and fastest tracks on the NCTS circuit. With seven truck starts on tracks measuring larger than two miles, the Daytona Beach, Fla. native has secured two top-five and two top-10 finishes with a best of third coming at Talladega in 2024 in a dramatic run across the finish line. Dye seeks to continue on and create a streak of top finishes for the No. 20 Chevrolet to start the fifth entry schedule off on a high note at Michigan.
Tune In …Television coverage on the DQS Staffing & Solutions 250 will begin Saturday morning with practice and qualifying starting at 9:30 AM ET on FS2 and will resume with the wave of the green flag at 1:30 PM ET on FS1. Daniel Dye Quote:
“We had a good run at Nashville with our No. 20 Champion Container Chevrolet and I am stoked to get to Michigan this weekend with the team. My one and only dance with the Irish Hills did not end in our favor but I am hoping we can have a different perspective this weekend in the truck. Happy to have Champion Container back on board and I cannot thank them enough for the support.”
