First Time… Daniel Dye will make his first career playoff start at The Milwaukee Mile after creating history at Richmond Raceway. The driver of the No. 43 Champion Container Chevrolet Silverado RST became the first driver in NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) history to bump into the playoffs after starting the final regular season race below the cut line. Dye will make his NCTS playoffs debut with teammates Christian Eckes and Tyler Ankrum this Sunday in the “Badger State”.
Points Year… Dye earned 13-stage points to total 42 at Richmond to help lock in his spot into the playoffs. The Florida-born driver held the 13th position in the standings at Charlotte in May and gained significant ground in the summer months to earn his first NCTS playoff berth. He proceeded to go on a hunt gaining four spots in the next four events bringing him into a provisional playoff spot. Despite being shown 11th in the standings after Indianapolis Raceway Park, he managed to grab the 10th and final spot in the NCTS playoffs at the regular season finale. In 10 of the 16 regular season events, Dye has scored at least 23 points. His largest point total of the season came at Nashville Superspeedway (NSS) where he bagged 48-points, including 13 stage points in his career-best second-place finish. The Floridian begins the playoffs 10th in the NCTS standings with a total of 2001 points, just two markers below the cut line.
2024 Regular Season Stats … Dye capped his 2024 regular season in the NCTS by scoring his sixth top-10 result of the year at Richmond. This season Dye achieved back-to-back top-10 finishes for the first time in his career at Texas Motor Speedway and Kansas Speedway. He followed up those efforts with his best-career finish at NSS. Dye has scored track-best finishes in 10 of 16 races and has an average finish of 14.9, over five positions better than his rookie year. He also improved his average starting position by over seven positions. Dye was able to achieve this with the help of his nine top-10 starts and his first-career pole award at Atlanta Motor Speedway in February.

Daniel Dye Quote:
On making his NCTS playoff debut:
“I’m super proud of everything our Champion Container team has been able to accomplish this season. We always knew that we had the ability to be in the playoffs, so to be able to get in and give ourselves a chance is a big deal for our group. I feel like we’ve come a long way as a team from the start of the season and we’ve had some great speed over the summer. We can definitely be one of the eight teams to advance, but we need to get off to a good start at Milwaukee.”
