Reeling in the Front … Daniel Hemric is making his fourth NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) start at Homestead-Miami Speedway (HMS) on Friday evening as he looks to reel in the front of the field. The driver of the No. 19 NAPA Nightvision Chevrolet Silverado RST is coming off a 13th-place result at Las Vegas Motor Speedway last week but was one of the three fastest trucks at the end of the event. The group led by crew chief Josh Graham found their desired balance with exceptional race pace late in the event and hope to extend that performance to Friday’s green flag in South Florida.
Home Sweet Homestead … Since Hemric made his first HMS appearance in the NCTS in 2014, he has been a steady resident near the front of the field in every series. Hemric has done everything short of visiting victory lane but aims to buck that trend on Friday night. In six NASCAR Xfinity Series races at HMS, Hemric banked three top-five results, and four top-10’s. He has one top-five to his credit in the NCTS back in 2016 and even recorded an eighth-place finish in the NASCAR Cup Series (2019). In the most recent visit to Miami’s mile-and-a-half speedway, MHR earned a trio of top-10 results, which included Christian Eckes piloting the No. 19 to a ninth-place finish.
Points Report … Through three of 18 regular season events, Hemric has a built a solid foundation to his season and enters HMS tied for eighth in the NCTS championship standings. He started the season with a seventh-place result at Daytona International Speedway and rebounded for a 13th-place finish at Las Vegas Motor Speedway last Friday night. Hemric has led in two of the three events thus far and seeks his first top-five result at HMS.
Tune In … For the first time in 2025, FOX network will carry live coverage of Friday’s 200-mile event at 8:00 p.m. ET. On-track action begins on FOX Sports 2 Friday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. ET with practice and qualifying. On his outlook for Homestead:
“We made gains throughout the night at Las Vegas last week, so hopefully we can transfer that to our NAPA Nightvision Chevrolet for Friday night. Homestead has been a good place for me in the past, and we want to continue that this weekend. There’s a lot of tire falloff, tons of room to move around and you need to have a well-balanced truck to be good there throughout the night. Hopefully we can unload as good as we finished at Las Vegas and execute like we need to and put ourselves in position to have a chance at a win.”
