Chasing a Big Bonus … Daniel Hemric is chasing the “Triple Truck Challenge” bonus at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS), fresh off his first victory of the 2025 season. The driver of the No. 19 NAPA Auto Care Chevrolet Silverado RST banked a $50,000 bonus at Martinsville Speedway two weeks ago in the first round of the “Triple Truck Challenge” and is chasing a $150,000 pay day at BMS if he’s able to go back-to-back. Hemric is the lone driver still eligible for the $500,000 prize still up for grabs over the next two events. His first-career NCTS victory moved him into the top five in the series standings and is one of only two drivers with guaranteed spots in the playoffs.
Building Momentum … The NAPA Auto Care team has been building momentum over the first five races and have consecutive top-five finishes in the last two races. Hemric posted a consistent fifth-place result at Homestead-Miami Speedway on March 21st prior to his win at Martinsville Speedway. Over the last two races, Hemric has moved from eighth to fourth in the regular season standings and has scored points in the last four-straight stages. Hemric has a chance to not only score consecutive wins for himself, but also to place the No. 19 NAPA Auto Care Chevy in BMS’ victory lane for the second-straight spring race. He has a pair of top-five NCTS results at BMS and owns three top-five’s and six top-10’s at “Thunder Valley in the NASCAR Xfinity Series.
Points Report … Hemric has elevated himself to one of the premier competitors in the NCTS and has scored 89 points over the last two races, second-most during that span. He sits fourth in the NCTS standings, 54 markers behind the lead, after five of 18 regular season events. He has collected two top-five finishes, three top-10’s and has an average finish of 8.4.
Tune In … Coverage from BMS begins at 3:30 p.m. ET on Friday afternoon on FOX Sports 2. The green flag follows on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1. Daniel Hemric Quote:
On entering Bristol:
“It’s great to have some momentum and continuing to develop as a team. We’ve had a lot of improvement over these first five races and our NAPA Auto Care team is only going to get better through the year. I’m excited about Bristol. It’s a great opportunity for us to continue to build off Martinsville and continue that performance. I’ve had some good runs at Bristol in the past, and been in contention to win, but hopefully we can put the entire night together on Friday. Our NAPA team has done a great job over these last two weeks of executing and being clean throughout the night. We’re maximizing our truck, great pit stops and saving our best for the end of these races. If we can continue that, I like our chances this week.”
