Back to Form … Daniel Hemric is returning to his familiar consistent form as the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Trucks Series (NCTS) comes back to Dover Motor Speedway for the first time in six years. The driver of the No. 19 CRC Brakleen Chevrolet Silverado RST enters “The Monster Mile” on the strength of his best effort of the year, a top-five finish coupled with a stage win at Watkins Glen International (WGI) a week ago. Over the past two races, Hemric has gained six positions in the championship standings and is once again making himself a player in the title chase.
Miles with Miles … Over 13 starts between the three national touring series, Hemric has logged 3,187 miles with “Miles the Monster”. Since making his first NCTS start in Dover, Del. in 2015, Hemric has been a consistent performer near the front of the field on the concrete canyons. He has top-10 finishes in all three series and recorded one top-five and a pair of top-10 finishes in his two previous NCTS starts at the fastest one-mile track on the circuit. Hemric was nearly an automatic bet to finish in the top-10 during his NASCAR Xfinity Series career, where he recorded six top-10’s in eight starts. After righting his 2026 season with consecutive top-10 efforts over the last two races, Hemric will be one of drivers to watch in Friday’s 200-mile showdown.
Season to Date … After the first two races of the season handed Hemric finishes outside the top-25, he and the No. 19 team have vaulted themselves up the standings and into a Chase position. His back-to-back top-10 efforts and a season best fourth-place effort with 43 points scored at WGI advanced him to 10th in the drivers’ championship points. He’s collected one top-five and four top-10 finishes through eight of 18 races. Hemric also tallied a stage win a week ago, marking the third race this season in which an MHR Chevrolet has collected a green and white checkered flag.
Tune In … Friday’s one-day show begins with Hemric hitting the track at 12:30 p.m. ET with practice and qualifying on the FOX One app. Coverage switches to FOX Sports 1 for the green flag at 5:00 p.m. ET. Daniel Hemric Quote:
On his consistent success at Dover:
“Dover has been one of those places that’s just worked out for me over the years. It’s really fast and presents a tall challenge to us drivers every time you go there. Tons of load, tons of speed, and the races are really short being only 200 laps. You don’t have many cracks at improving your truck throughout the race, so we’ll have to make sure our CRC Brakleen Chevrolet is close to where we need it to start the day. I’m really proud of this NAPA, CRC team, for executing at a high level last week at ‘The Glen’. That’s what we needed to get our season headed in the right direction. These guys have done a great job of improving our vehicles and putting some more speed in them, so I’m excited to see what we can do at Dover this week.”
