Encore for the Finale … Daniel Hemric is looking to make an encore performance in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Trucks Series (NCTS) regular season finale on Friday night at Richmond Raceway. The driver of the No. 19 NAPA Auto Care Chevrolet Silverado RST is seeking to stack his stash of playoff points and duplicate another winning effort to score his second short track victory of the season. Hemric currently owns five playoff points from his victory at Martinsville Speedway and can mathematically finish as high as second in the regular season standings.
Short Track Performer … The short track confines have been a point of strength for Hemric and the NAPA Auto Care team this season. They’ve continued MHR’s level of excellence on short tracks with their victory at Martinsville and have delivered two top-five’s and three top-10 finishes in the four short track events this year. The No. 19 team is primed for another such performance on Friday at Richmond, as the three-quarter mile venue was the site of MHR’s first race where all four teams finished inside the top-10 in 2024. Hemric made his NASCAR Cup Series debut in RVA in 2018 and has three top-five runs to his credit in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, along with a pole award in 2017.
Season to Date … Hemric enters the regular season finale fourth in the NCTS point standings, 32 markers behind second, as additional playoff points are on the line per each position in the standings at night’s end. Hemric recently finished second at Watkins Glen International to lower his average finish to 8.0, the second-best mark among all NCTS drivers. In total, Hemric has accumulated eight top-five’s and 13 top-10 results through 17 races.

Daniel Hemric Quote:
On finishing the regular season at Richmond:
“Richmond is a great place to close out the regular season. There’s a ton of tire wear to manage. It’s a long race by truck standards at 250 laps. Brakes can sometimes be an issue and tire strategy can easily come into play too. There’s a lot of scenarios to manage throughout the night, so I’m excited for what our NAPA Auto Care team can do on Friday. We’d like to gain some ground in the standings, maybe get another playoff point or two and hopefully compete for the win and give ourselves some momentum before the playoffs start in a couple weeks.”
