Making Some Noise … Daniel Hemric is making some noise as he enters his first NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) starts at the 1.33-mile Nashville Superspeedway (NSS). The driver of the No. 19 Gates Hydraulics Chevrolet Silverado RST has strung together five-straight top-10 results, which has tied the longest streak of his 61-race NCTS career. Hemric has advanced from fifth to third in the championship standings since finishing third at Rockingham Speedway to being his recent hot streak, which includes a trio of top-five finishes.

Kicking the Concrete … The tricky, moderately banked, NSS features the second fully concrete surface on the NCTS calendar. Hemric’s first victory of the season also came on concrete corners at Martinsville Speedway when he led the final four circuits to claim his first-career NCTS victory. The North Carolinian hopes to continue MHR’s stellar performance at NSS from 2024 after the team earned a one-two finish and placed three of the four entries inside the top five. The No. 19 NAPA Auto Care Chevy scored the victory with Christian Eckes after leading wire-to-wire. Hemric has four prior starts at NSS, one in the NASCAR Cup Series and three appearances in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS). He recorded a best-finish of eighth in the 2023 NXS event in “Music City”.

Season to Date … Hemric has been a model of consistency through the season’s first 11 races. He has collected five top-five’s and eighth top-10 finishes. His steady efforts have garnered the second-best average finish of all drivers in the series, at 7.5. He is tied with MHR teammate Tyler Ankrum for the second-most top-10’s and has the third-most top-five results.

Tune In … On-track activity begins at 4:00 p.m. ET Friday afternoon on FOX Sports 1 with practice and qualifying, followed by the green flag at 8:00 p.m. ET on FS1. Daniel Hemric Quote:

On making his first NCTS start at Nashville:

“Nashville is a unique racetrack, being that it’s completely concrete and has a little less banking than a traditional mile-and-a-half. Concrete always races a little differently with how the rubber lays and picks back up. Looking back at past truck races, track position is extremely important, and it’ll be critical to have our Gates Hydraulics Chevy up front Friday night. Qualifying has been crucial, so hopefully we can start up in the first few rows and give ourselves some track position to start the night. It’d be great to get one of those guitars and put this Gates Hydraulics Chevy in victory lane for the second year in a row.”
