Climbing the Charts … Daniel Hemric is climbing up the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Trucks Series (NCTS) charts as the 2026 tour rolls into Nashville Superspeedway (NSS) Friday night. The driver of the No. 19 NAPA Nightvision Chevrolet Silverado RST rejoined the top-10 in the championship standings after Sunday’s rescheduled event at Charlotte Motor Speedway and sits ninth in points entering Music City. In the last six races, Hemric has netted nine positions in points and looks to score his second-straight top-five on the Nashville concrete as he pursues his first victory of 2026.
Toe-Tapping Favorite … Since NASCAR’s three national series returned to NSS, the 1.3-mile concrete oval has been a toe-tapping favorite for Hemric. He recorded a top-10 finish in his lone NASCAR Cup Series start in the inaugural event in 2021 and finished fourth at NSS last season in his first season behind the wheel of the No. 19 truck. Friday night is a tremendous opportunity for Hemric to continue his ascent up the standings and continue MHR’s success at NSS. In 2021, Derek Kraus drove the No. 19 NAPA Auto Care entry to the pole award, and Hemric’s teammate Christian Eckes led every lap in 2024 for a dominating victory with a one-two finish for MHR. Hemric hopes to deliver another poignant outing for the organization at NSS and collect his first Gibson guitar trophy.
Season to Date … Hemric is one of three MHR drivers currently holding a spot on the provisional Chase grid, sitting ninth in the NCTS points standings. He has recorded one top-five and four top-10 results through 10 races, along with a stage win which occurred two races ago at Watkins Glen International.
Tune In … Track activity gets underway at 4:00 p.m. ET on Friday afternoon with practice and qualifying on FOX Sports 2. Coverage switches to FOX Sports 1 for the green flag at 8:00 p.m. ET. Daniel Hemric Quote:
On competing at Nashville:
“We had a really solid truck last year at Nashville, and felt like we had a truck capable of winning. Last week at Charlotte was a great improvement for us. Our trucks had a lot more speed and capability, especially in traffic. That really has us encouraged we’re on the right path and can have another strong NAPA Nightvision Chevy this week. Nashville has been a good place for MHR over the years. We finished top-five last year, so it’d be nice to run up front there again and have a shot at finally getting a win this year. It’s a track position race. Clean air is so important, so execution is going to be critical throughout the night.”
