Path to Chase Goes Through Wilkesboro … Daniel Hemric’s path to “The Chase” leads through Wilkes County, N.C. and his second NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Trucks Series (NCTS) outing at North Wilkesboro Speedway (NWS). The driver of the No. 19 Arnott Suspension Products Chevrolet Silverado RST enters the beloved short track eighth in the standings with a healthy 53-point cushion on the provisional cut line. Hemric’s short track background as a successful super late model driver and NCTS short track winner has him as one of the contenders for Saturday’s 250-lap event.

Add to the Heritage … NWS, along with Martinsville Speedway, have heritage that runs deeper than any other tracks on the NCTS tour, both dating back to 1947. As a former winner at Martinsville, Hemric would like to add his name to the esteemed list of victors at North Wilkesboro. A year ago, Hemric drove to a fourth-place finish in his first start at NWS just behind fellow MHR teammate Tyler Ankrum. Short tracks have been a point of strength for Hemric since stepping into the No. 19 Chevrolet. Since 2025, Hemric has tallied one win, three top-five’s, and four top-10 finishes in eight short track races, stat lines he hopes in increase on Saturday afternoon.

Season to Date … Hemric enters Wilkes County eighth in the NCTS drivers standings after 14 of 18 regular season races. He has collected two top-five’s and six top-10 results along with a stage victory at Watkins Glen International in May. With four races remaining until “The Chase”, he holds a 53-point buffer on the provisional cut line.

Tune In … Coverage from NWS begins Friday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. ET with practice and qualifying on FOX Sports 2. Race coverage gets underway Saturday afternoon at 12:30 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1. Daniel Hemric Quote:

On returning to short track racing at North Wilkesboro:

“We ended the day pretty decent at North Wilkesboro last year, improved our capability throughout the day and executed well at the end of the race for a top-five. We definitely looked at things we can do better and get more potential out of our Arnott Suspension Products Chevy this weekend. Short tracks have been pretty good to us over the last year and a half, and want to continue this week as we get closer to ‘The Chase’. We had a great package last year at Martinsville, got ourselves a win, so we’re capable of getting the job done. Our group needs to execute right from the start of practice and we’ll put ourselves in a good position on Saturday.”
