Welcome to the Show … Connor Mosack kicks off his rookie campaign on Friday night at Daytona International Speedway (DIS) in his debut with McAnally-Hilgemann Racing. The Charlotte, N.C. native is piloting the No. 81 Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Chevrolet Silverado RST in his first NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) start at the “World Center of Racing” to begin his first full-time campaign. Mosack has proven his mettle with two victories in the ARCA Menards Series and is paired with crew chief Blake Bainbridge, who led MHR’s No. 43 team to the playoffs in 2024.
Full of Potential … If the closing rounds of the 2024 NCTS season were any indication, Mosack could be poised for a breakout season in 2025. The 26-year-old garnered attention with exceptional performances in the final three races, including a career-best third-place result at Homestead-Miami Speedway on October 26th. Mosack made nine NCTS appearances in 2024 and has 11 in total. He concluded his nine-race slate with three-straight top-10 performances to close out 2024, which also included top-10 qualifying efforts. Not only did he excel in NCTS competition, but he tallied a sixth-place finish at the Chicago Street Course in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. He competed at DIS in both ARCA and the NXS, and earned a runner-up finish in the 2023 ARCA event.
Career Background … Despite embarking on his first full season on Friday night, Mosack has an extensive background for his official rookie status. Starts in the CARS Tour, all three ARCA divisions, and 28 NXS races blanket Mosack’s resume. In 2023, he contested the lion’s share of the NXS schedule, competing in 24 events and earned a career-best finish of fifth at Watkins Glen International. Mosack looks to parlay his diversified experience into his first-career playoff berth and break into victory lane in 2025.
Tune In … Coverage of the 2025 season begins on Thursday afternoon with practice at 5:00 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1 (FS1). Broadcast coverage resumes Friday for pole qualifying at 3:00 p.m. on FS1 followed by the green flag at 7:30 p.m. ET. Connor Mosack Quote:
On starting his rookie season at Daytona:
“I’ve wanted this opportunity to race for a great organization like MHR and have the chance to win races for a long time. I’ve been looking forward to finally getting to the racetrack and see what we can accomplish together. Blake (Bainbridge) has a great team assembled and they had an impressive season last year by making the playoffs and running up front. Hopefully, we can start at that level and continue to progress starting this weekend with our Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Chevrolet. All of these superspeedway races tend to get wild after halfway, but I think if we can manage the night to be around at the end, we should have a fast Chevrolet to race for the win.”
