Mosack Has All the Ingredients for Stout Showing at Bristol

Venue: Bristol Motor Speedway
Event: Weather Guard Truck Race
Date: Friday, April 11
Location: Bristol, TN
Track Description: 0.533-mile oval
Distance: 250 laps, 133.25 miles (7:30 p.m. ET, FOX, Motor Racing Network)
The Right Ingredients … Connor Mosack has all the ingredients necessary to be a contender on Friday night at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS). The driver of the No. 81 Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Chevrolet Silverado RST has displayed the capability to be a frontrunner at nearly every race this season and hopes to put it all together in his third BMS start. Mosack looks to avenge the fortune that has plagued the first five races. Most recently, Mosack earned top-five stage points in each segment at Martinsville Speedway and aims to translate that to the second short track event of the season at “Thunder Valley”.
On the Move … While still searching for his first top-10 result of the season, Mosack has been steadily climbing his way up the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) standings. He left Daytona International Speedway 28th in the standings and has steadily been on the move, gaining nine positions in the last four races. Mosack has plenty of experience at “The Last Great Colosseum” to continue his progression with two NCTS starts under his belt, a top-15 finish in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2023, and a ninth-place finish in the ARCA Menards Series in 2022.
Season to Date … Mosack enters BMS 19th in NCTS points after garnering fourth-place points in both stages at Martinsville Speedway, gaining him one position in the standings. The Charlotte native led a career-high 30 laps at Atlanta Motor Speedway in February after he earned his first pole position. Mosack is seeking his first-career top-five finish on a short track in the first of two trips to Bristol this season.
Tune In … Action from BMS gets underway at 3:30 p.m. ET with practice and qualifying on FOX Sports 2. The green flag drops later that evening at 7:30 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1. Connor Mosack Quote:
On returning to Bristol:
“This week is another great opportunity for our team, and we’re all motivated to execute a clean night. All the MHR trucks have had speed this year, especially our Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Chevrolet, and we’re expecting to be just as good on Friday night as we were at Martinsville. That’s the standard we set, and I think we can do that. I’ve been to Bristol quite a few times now, and it’s a fun place to race. It’ll be interesting to see how the track progresses throughout the day and into the night. Things happen super-fast at Bristol and the pit strategy will be key to have track position for the final run of the night.”
