Make Up Work … The penultimate race of the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Trucks Series (NCTS) season has the table set for Connor Mosack to make up for lost time. The driver of the No. 81 Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Chevrolet Silverado RST was one of the front runners in the March race at Martinsville Speedway before a flat tire and penalty spoiled the outing. Mosack tallied 14 stage points in his first NCTS start at “The Paperclip” and hopes to do some make-up work on Friday evening. He is hunting for his first-career victory and could be a candidate to upset the eight remaining playoff drivers.

Heating Up … As the temperatures begin to cool, Mosack has begun to heat up his rookie season. The North Carolinian enters his second NCTS event at “The Paperclip” on the best stretch of the season with four top-15 results in the last five races. That stretch includes his best short track finish of the season, a seventh-place effort at Bristol Motor Speedway and a top-10 result at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL. Mosack also looks to continue MHR’s stellar record at the 0.526-mile track as the organization has placed two trucks in the top five in two of the last three races.

Season to Date … With 23 of 25 races complete in his first full-time NCTS tour, Mosack has lowered his average finish over the last five races to 18.6. He has tallied four top-10 results and a season best sixth-place finish at Pocono Raceway along with his first-career pole award at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Tune In … Mosack hits the track at 2:00 p.m. ET on Friday afternoon with practice and qualifying live on FOX Sports 2. The green flag drops at 6:00 p.m. ET Friday evening on FOX Sports 1. Connor Mosack Quote:

On returning to Martinsville:

“We had a really good truck at Martinsville earlier this spring and that one got away from us. We ran in the top five the first half of the race so that gives us a lot of optimism and motivation for Friday night. We should have similar pace in our Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Chevy. Just like in the spring, it’s going to come down to execution. The cutoff race at Martinsville is usually pretty wild, so being smart and managing the race will be critical. Hopefully we can put our Chevrolet up front and hope our teammates are up there too.”
