Start a Streak … Connor Mosack aims to start a hot streak on Friday evening in his first NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) event at Martinsville Speedway. The driver of the No. 81 Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Chevrolet Silverado RST is seeking his first top-10 result of the year, despite earning a pole award in the second race of the season at Atlanta Motor Speedway (AMS). However, Mosack does have a level of familiarity with the shortest track on the NCTS slate as he has a pair of NASCAR Xfinity Series starts to his credit at “The Paperclip”. He looks to build on MHR’s success at Martinsville and hopes to add to the organization’s four combined top-10 finishes at the short track from 2024.
Short Track History … Mosack is beginning to stockpile short track experience on his resume and will get a full dose at Martinsville on Friday night. He has a pair of NCTS short track races under his belt, both at Bristol Motor Speedway, and looks to extend his short track results from the ARCA Menards Series (AMS) to his NCTS effort. Mosack has four total short track starts across the AMS platforms, including a fourth-place result last Saturday night at Five Flags Speedway. In fact, he has posted three top-five and four top-10 results in all four of his short track starts in AMS competition. Mosack hopes to make Friday evening a third-consecutive Martinsville race with at least two MHR drivers finishing inside the top-10.
Season to Date … Through four of 18 regular season events, Mosack is positioned 22nd in the NCTS championship standings. Mosack earned his first-career pole in the second race of the season and led a career-high 30 laps at AMS. He gained two positions in the standings last week at Homestead-Miami Speedway and looks to continue his ascent at Martinsville.
Tune In … On-track activity from the first short track race of 2025 begins Friday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 2. Connor Mosack Quote:
On the first short track race of the season at Martinsville:
“Martinsville is one of the most challenging places on our schedule, but all the MHR trucks ran really well there last year. We need to have a smooth night with our Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Chevrolet to start regaining some points. Our team has had quite a bit of speed most of the year so far, and I think we can continue that over the short tracks for the next two weeks. Having track position and not overworking your tires and equipment is always important at Martinsville, so we’ll try to manage the night as best we can and hope to get a top-10 this week.”
