Mosack Notches Season-Best Top-10 at Rockingham

Venue: Rockingham Speedway

NCTS Point Standings Position: 18th
Connor Mosack righted the ship with his first top-10 finish of the 2025 season with a ninth-place result on Friday evening at Rockingham Speedway. The driver of the No. 81 Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Chevrolet Silverado RST endured a topsy-turvy evening to rebound from an early spin and speeding penalty to record his best finish since last year’s finale. Mosack completed a landmark outing for MHR as he joined all three of his teammates in the top-10 and jumped to 18th in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series standings.
Mosack started the afternoon with a stout fourth-place qualifying effort, but would quickly need a steady helping of resilience early in the race. On lap two, Mosack spun in front of the field in Turn 3 and narrowly escaped without damage. Despite wounding a set of tires, Mosack tagged the tail of the field for the lap seven restart and finished Stage 1 on lap 45 in 21st position.
Crew chief Blake Bainbridge gave Mosack two right side tires to gain track position under the stage caution, and the move paid dividends as Mosack was able to restart ninth on lap 56. The bulk of Stage 2 ran under a 36-lap green flag stint, during which Mosack battled a tight condition, but maintained a net track position gain and ran 11th at the end of segment on lap 90.
Another strategy call played out during the caution period as Bainbridge and Mosack agreed to audible to a left-side tire only pit stop to protect their track position. The move allowed Mosack to restart eighth on lap 100. The final required fuel stop came under yellow on lap 117, however, Mosack’s road to the top-10 became cloudy after speeding on pit road. He lined up 19th on the event’s final restart on lap 124. As the final 77 laps went green, Mosack methodically advanced to 12th by lap 178. The closing 22 laps saw multiple trucks run out of fuel and allowed Mosack to collect his first top-10 finish of the season in ninth.
Connor Mosack Quote:
“It sure feels good to get a good finish and our first top-10 out of the way. When you start fourth, you don’t expect to have to come from the back twice. We had to fight through some adversity with our Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Chevy. Proud of the guys, and this team for finding a way to get track position, and we had enough pace in our Chevrolet to maintain the track position we had, even on older tires, and managed to go forward at the end. It’s good to be back in the top-10. Now it gives us something to build on here and start stringing some finishes together.”
