Prepped for a Breakthrough … The NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Trucks Series (NCTS) playoffs are five races away and Connor Mosack is preparing to break through in an effort for his first-career berth. The driver of the No. 81 NAPA Nightvision Chevrolet Silverado RST has the raw speed to make a statement performance at Pocono Raceway and shake up the championship complexion.  Friday afternoon marks Mosack’s second NCTS start at the 2.5-mile triangle and has one start in the NASCAR Xfinity Series under his belt at Pocono.

Running Up Front … Mosack and the NAPA Nightvision team generated substantial momentum at Michigan International Speedway (MIS) in their most recent outing. Mosack racked up 32 points, his highest single-race total this season, and included 14 stage points from running inside the top-five during the first 60 laps. He briefly led for the second time this season and was in contention until a late-race incident. Pocono’s high-speed straightaways and corner entries resemble MIS and could offer Mosack another opportunity to run up front and break through for his first-career victory. His previous NCTS start at Pocono resulted in a 15th-place finish last year and qualified fourth in his NXS start in 2023.

Season to Date … With 13 of 18 regular season races complete, Mosack sits 17th in the NCTS standings after gaining three positions at MIS. He scored a season best ninth-place finish at Rockingham Speedway along with a pole award at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Mosack looks to set new season-high marks on Friday at “The Trickly Triangle” and improve on his 21.2 average finish.

Tune In … On-track action begins Friday afternoon on FOX Sports 2 with practice and qualifying from Pocono, with race coverage at 5:00 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1. Connor Mosack Quote:

On returning to Pocono:

“It’s always nice to go back to a place where you have some experience. We had a decent finish last year, but we have our goals much higher this week, especially after how much speed we had at Michigan. This NAPA Nightvision team has the capability to run in the top-five and challenge for a win, and I think we showed that last week. Pit strategy always plays a big role at Pocono, and having track position throughout the day is a major factor also. Hopefully we can put everything together on Friday and give ourselves a chance at the end of the day.”
