Push for the Playoffs … Connor Mosack is ready to make a push for the playoffs with seven races remaining in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) regular season. The urgency level for the driver of the No. 81 NAPA Nightvision Chevrolet is raised sitting 18th in the standings entering Friday night’s event at Nashville Superspeedway (NSS). Mosack has shown examples of the raw speed necessary to contend and hopes to continue MHR’s stellar performances at NSS. The No. 81 team and crew chief Blake Bainbridge finished second in Music City in a one-two finish for MHR, a feat Mosack is aiming to replicate on Friday evening.

The Right Ingredients … While Mosack and the No. 81 NAPA Nightvision team look to change their luck in middle Tennessee on Friday, the team has shown the right ingredients to make a run at the seven-race playoffs. Mosack delivered his first-career pole at Atlanta Motor Speedway (AMS) in February and led 30 laps. Bainbridge and company also engineered part of the organization’s second one-two finish at NSS with driver Daniel Dye a year ago. Three of MHR’s four entries finished in the top-five in the tour’s most recent visit to NSS and Mosack hopes to duplicate that performance Friday night. His qualifying efforts have been sturdy in recent weeks and has started in the top-15 in three of the last five races. The group will need another quality qualifying time on Friday at the track-position dependent concrete tri oval.

Season to Date … Through 11 races, Mosack sits 90 points back of the provision playoff cut line with a season-best finish of ninth coming at Rockingham Speedway. Mosack has earned one pole award (AMS) and looks to improve on his average finish of 21.2.

Tune In … Mosack has a busy day of on-track action at NSS beginning with practice and qualifying Friday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1. Race coverage follows on Friday evening at 8:00 p.m. ET on FS1. Connor Mosack Quote:

On the stretch run to the playoffs:

“Nashville would be a great place to flip the script on our year. Blake (Bainbridge) and this team had a great run there last year. All the MHR trucks did too, so that gives us some confidence going back there. It’ll be my first time there but feel like we can adapt pretty quickly and get our NAPA Nightvision Chevrolet dialed in on Friday. Track position will be critical, so hopefully we can keep improving on our qualifying program and get ourselves a top-10 starting spot. If we can gain some stage points and give ourselves a chance at a top-five, that would get us going in the right direction for a playoff spot.”
