Thundering Into Bristol … Connor Mosack has momentum at his back as he enters his fourth NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Trucks Series (NCTS) appearance at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS) on Thursday evening. The driver of the No. 81 Friends of Jaclyn Foundation Chevrolet Silverado RST generated momentum after rebounding at Darlington Raceway with a resilient 13th-place effort. Mosack recovered from being a lap down to record a top-15 finish and looks to transfer that into his first top-10 at “Thunder Valley”.
Out for Retribution … BMS dealt Mosack a rough outing in the NCTS’ first visit to the “Last Great Colosseum” in April. The North Carolinian was spun early in the event and suffered battery issues, which relegated him to a sub top-20 finish. Mosack has proven to have the ability to tackle the BMS high banks as he nabbed a 14th-place result in his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut at “The Last Great Colosseum” in 2023. Mosack has excelled on short tracks in his brief ARCA Menards Series stint with two top-five’s and four top-10 results in his four short track starts, including a ninth at BMS in 2022.
Season to Date … With 19 races complete and six events remaining in 2025, Mosack sits 14th in the NCTS standings after gaining a position at Darlington Raceway. Mosack has recorded two top-10’s, including a season-high sixth at Pocono Raceway and tallied his first-career NCTS pole award at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
Tune In … On-track activity from “Thunder Valley” kicks off with practice and qualifying at 3:00 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 2, followed by the green flag on FOX Sports 1 at 8:00 p.m. ET. Connor Mosack Quote:
On returning to Bristol:
“We’re ready to make up for the spring, that’s for sure. Bristol is a really intense racetrack from the driver’s seat. Things happen at a really quick pace and you have to be thinking a half lap ahead, or more, all the time. It’s a challenging race to execute cleanly for 250 laps but our Friends of Jaclyn Foundation team feels good from the effort and comeback we had at Darlington. Our goal is to unload closer to where we need to be on Thursday afternoon, and hopefully just fine tune it in the race. The PJ1 application will be important to watch throughout the day. We’ll see how it wears off and what that does to the racetrack. Hopefully we can have a clean night and get our Silverado RST back in the top-10 this week.”
