Jack Wood, driver of the No. 91 Columbia Bank Chevrolet Silverado RST solidified the final race of the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series season with a stout top-10 finish at Phoenix Raceway. Wood started out the day with a solid qualifying lap that led him to start the 150-lap event 15th in line. A caution on the restart allowed the young driver to cruise up to 12th but the No. 91 was called for an unfortunate penalty by pulling out of line going to the green so he was reverted to the back of the pack. Wood continued to work his way forward for a 18th-place Stage One finish. Reporting back to his team that through the run his overall balance felt pretty good. He was a bit free off and really needed more security on entry. Crew chief Josh Graham called the young driver down pit road for four tires, fuel and a slight adjustment.

It was a fairly quiet Stage Two as the laps stayed green and Wood found himself fighting to stay on the lead lap in 21st and ultimately falling short of a lap as the green-white-checkers fell for. The driver of the No. 91 Columbia Bank Chevrolet was given the free pass and he made his way around to get back on the lead lap and come down pit road under the stage break for four tires and fuel. The final stage led to a gaggle of cautions arising and the young driver knew he had to get to work and focus forward. With two laps to go, the yellow flag fell, leading the field into NASCAR’s version of overtime. Wood saw himself sitting just outside the top 10 and as the green flag fell for what they thought was the final time, the young driver jumps up to seventh until chaos broke out yet again and the trucks went into double-overtime. A hard-fought restart and smart decisions allowed Wood to pull out a solid 10th-place finish at Phoenix for the season finale.

Jack Wood Quote:

“Really glad we could pull out a top-10 finish for these guys to end the season. This No. 91 team has worked so hard all season long and we have battled so much adversity along the way but they have always stood behind me with the momentum to get better each and every race. Huge thanks to Bill and everyone at MHR for the opportunity. Thank you to Columbia Bank for coming on board for Phoenix. I wish this season had gone a different way but I am glad we could finish on a high note and I look forward to what 2026 has in store.”
