Back To Thunder Valley … Jack Wood, driver of the No. 91 Adaptive One Calipers Chevrolet Silverado RST heads back to Bristol Motor Speedway for the second time this season in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS). Thursday night’s event will mark the young driver’s fifth start at the 0.533-mile high-banked oval. Wood’s best Bristol finish came this past Spring where he rallied to an 11th-place finish at the wild short track after wet weather cancelled practice and qualifying, forcing him to start in the back of the pack. Wood powered through yellow flags and late race melees to using his short track skills to his advantage. The Loomis, Calif. looks to improve on that finish and gain another top-10 effort this season.

Short Track Feelin’ … Wood is coming off a valiant effort at Darlington Raceway where he battled a load of adversity to break through with a 14th-place finish for the No. 91 team after a streak of bad luck and misfortune put a damper on their summer. The driver of the No. 91 is ready to take this momentum back to a short track, the configuration where he has had some thrilling finishes this past season. Wood’s best NCTS career finish came earlier this year at a short track when he battled his way to seventh-place finish at Rockingham Speedway in April.

Tune In … Television coverage on the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series event will begin Thursday afternoon with practice and qualifying starting at 3:05 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 2 followed by the green flag at 8:00 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1. Jack Wood Quote:

“I am stoked for Bristol. We were on fire there in the Spring and I am for sure ready for some redemption there. Coming off a nice finish at Darlington so I know this No. 91 team can take the momentum we carried there and onto Bristol to help us gain a solid finish. We did not have the best summer and it is a shame that these guys did not get the finishes they really deserved so my goal is to finish out the remaining of the season strong and see what we can do.”
