Wood Looks to Rip the Boards in Homestead

Date: Friday, March 21st

Location: Homestead, FL

Track Description: 1.5-mile oval

Distance:134 laps, 201 miles (8:00 p.m. ET, FOX Sports 1, SiriusXM)

New Kid Returns … Jack Wood, driver of the No. 91 Adaptive One Calipers Chevrolet Silverado RST, returns to Homestead-Miami Speedway for only his third start at the 1.5 mile oval in the last five years. The young driver’s first showing in Miami back in 2022 led to a heartbreaker of a finish. Wood returned back to the intermediate speedway in 2023 where he had a solid qualifying run that set him just outside the top 10 in 11th to start the 134-lap event where he held strong to redeem a 12th-place finish. Wood and the No. 91 team look to improve on this finish and be in contention for a solid top-five finish at Homestead.

Season To Date … Wood is coming off a devastating finish at Las Vegas where the rain-delay took precedent over the No. 91 strategy and then a lap-92 incident saw the young driver backed into the Turn 4 wall that ended his night 30th. This unfortunate finish pushed the young driver back to 16th in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series point standings, heading into the fourth race of the season at Homestead. Although Vegas may not have been a lucky run for the No. 91 Adaptive One Chevrolet RST, they are looking forward to turning that luck around this Friday night, under the lights.

MHR Homestead History … McAnally-Hilgemann Racing (MHR) has nine previous starts at Homestead, starting back in 2020. The MHR camp collectively holds an average qualifying result of 12.1 and an average finishing result of 12.8. The team’s best finish came last season in 2024 at the Fall event with Tyler Ankrum finishing fifth in the No. 18 LIUNA Chevrolet RST. Returning with four full-time entries, MHR is looking to stay in contention for their first victory of the season at Homestead.

Tune In … Television coverage on the Baptist Health 200 will begin Friday afternoon with practice & qualifying starting at 3:35 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 2. The green flag will drop at 8:00 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1. Stay connected with the No. 91 team by following @BMR_NASCAR on Twitter, @bmrnascar on Instagram, and Bill McAnally Racing on Facebook.

Jack Wood Quote:

“It has not been a fun couple of weeks for the No. 91 team, that is for sure but I am super grateful for the drive and motivation this team has to keep their heads up and work just as hard the next week to give me the best truck they can. Homestead is still fairly new to me as this will only be my third start there in the past couple of years but I am looking forward to taking all my notes and putting them together to hopefully be in contention for a top-five finish.”
