Bounce Back … Jack Wood, driver of the No. 91 Adaptive One Chevrolet Silverado RST is ready for redemption at Darlington Raceway this weekend after a series of unfortunate events occurred for the No. 91 team at Watkins Glen, ending with a blown left-front tire that sent the young driver ping-ponging inside the esses and ultimately ending his day early. Wood took a hard hit and has been going through extensive care measures followed by a week off to make sure he is ready to roll this weekend in Darlington. Thankfully, with all the safety equipment NASCAR implements in these race trucks and forces the drivers to wear, Wood will be able to bounce back quick and stay in contention for a solid run in the Sober or Slammer 200 Saturday afternoon.

The Lady In Black … The Loomis, Calif. native has three previous starts at the 1.366-mile oval. Wood’s most previous start there for was for McAnally Hilgemann Racing last season where his run came to an abrupt halt after the right-front tire went down on his No. 91 Chevrolet, forcing him into the outside retaining wall and ending his day early. Wood seeks a solid come back and redemption at “The Lady in Black”.

Throwback Season… The young driver will honor the infamous Dick Trickle as the No. 91 truck will throw it back to Trickle’s “White Knight” American Speed Association (ASA) short track paint scheme he ran in the 1970s and early ’80s. Trickle was widely regarded as the greatest short track driver in history with a legend that exceeds over 1,200 feature wins over his career. He went on to win the ASA championships in “84 & ’85. The legendary driver moved south and became the oldest NASCAR Cup Series rookie of the year in 1989 driving for the Stavola Brothers. Trickle also drover for NASCAR Hall of Famers cale Yarborough and Bud Moore in the Cup Series for over 24 seasons.

Tune In … Television coverage on the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series event will begin Friday afternoon with practice and qualifying starting at 3:05 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 2 followed by the green flag on Saturday for the Sober or Slammer 200 at 12:00 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1. Jack Wood Quote:

”Feels good to get back behind the wheel this weekend in Darlington. Hated not being able to fight out there with my teammates in Richmond but making sure I was healthy enough to drive and do my best for my team was super important to me. Super pumped about our throwback scheme. Dick Trickle was for sure one of the greats and it’s cool to be able to honor him this weekend in Darlington. It’s time to turn things around for this No. 91 team and get these guys into Victory Lane where they belong.”
