Lime Rock Park … Jack Wood, driver of the No. 91 Adaptive One Calipers Chevrolet Silverado RST is headed up to Lakeville, Conn. for the inaugural LIUNA 150 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) event at Lime Rock Park. This 1.5-mile track is a scenic road course in the state of Connecticut and this is the first time in it’s 68-year history that Lime Rock will hold a NASCAR national touring series event.
Left and Rights … The Loomis, Calif. native has seven previous starts on road courses throughout his NCTS career with a best of 13th coming at COTA last season with McAnally Hilgemann Racing (MHR). The four MHR teammates were able to run test laps around the Lakeville property earlier in the season to get a feel for the new track. Wood and the No. 91 team are coming off a clean 14th-place finish at Pocono and are looking to keep that momentum and confidence up at Lime Rock for the 100-lap event.
Tune In … Television coverage on the LIUNA 150 will begin Friday afternoon with practice starting at 1:05 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 2 and continuing on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. ET for qualifying by the green flag will at 1:00 p.m. ET on FOX. Jack Wood Quote:
“I am really excited for Lime Rock, honestly. I think the race itself is going to be a fun one to run but also very challenging. The track is super narrow so if at any time you fall off, it is going to be pretty difficult to get back in line and hold track position. Need to keep the mistakes to a minimum and keep our focus forward for a solid finish. We had a good run last week and these guys continue to put in so much effort each and every week that it was nice to see a solid result. Looking forward to keeping that momentum going and pushing for better results.”
