History at The Paperclip … Jack Wood, driver of the No. 91 Adaptive One Calipers Chevrolet Silverado RST returns to the half-mile short track for his fifth NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) start. Last season (2024), the young driver qualified in the top 10 for both the Spring and Fall events in the No. 91 MHR Chevrolet with Kevin Bellicourt calling the shots. Wood and the team hope to boost their efforts and have a solid qualifying effort along with a top-10 finish at Martinsville.

Season To Date … The Loomis, Calif. native is coming off a clean finish at Homestead-Miami Speedway where they settled in the back of the pack for the majority of the race but the young driver continued to take notes and collect strategy on how to play those 1.5-mile tracks while keeping a clean truck in the process. Wood currently sits 16th in the NCTS driver standings, just four spots outside the playoff cutline. The driver of the No. 91 Adaptive One Chevrolet Silverado RST looks to improve on his short track sequence and keep adding notes to his playoff book.

MHR Short Track History … McAnally-Hilgemann Racing is no stranger to the game of short track racing as the team has a total of 59 NCTS career starts. Withing those 59 starts, they have tallied three victories, 14 top-five and 24 top-10 finishes. All three victories came to the MHR camp last season with Christian Eckes leading the hat trick in Bristol in the Spring and then sweeping the events at Martinsville (Spring and Fall). The team is looking to grab the win this weekend for the third time in a row at Martinsville.

Jack Wood Quote:

“Not the finish we wanted to have in Homestead but it was a clear run and proud of these No. 91 guys who kept on it all night long. I am really excited to have a change of pace this weekend in Martinsville and get back to a short track. I have not had the best of luck at Martinsville in the past but been working hard with the team on some changes and hopefully we can turn some better laps here this weekend at Martinsville.”
