Wright Makes 100th Career NASCAR Start at Richmond
| Triple Digit Starts… Kris Wright will reach the first major milestone of his NASCAR career Friday night at Richmond Raceway, making his 100th-career national NASCAR series start. The Pittsburgh, Pa. native will climb aboard the No. 81 F.N.B. Corporation / iHeartRadio Chevrolet Silverado RST for McAnally-Hilgemann Racing (MHR) in his second career start at the short track. The Black’s Tire 250 will mark Wright’s 17th start of the 2026 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) season, putting him within reach of his career high for starts in a single season. Short Track Stats… Wright enters the weekend with one previous NCTS start at Richmond in 2021, when he qualified 22nd. Friday marks his 15th-career NCTS short track start and fifth of the 2026 season. He also recorded a career-best short track finish of ninth at Martinsville in 2025 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Wright will look to top his best-career short track finish with a strong run Friday night. Season to Date… Through 16 races of the 2026 NCTS season, Wright currently sits 22nd in the championship standings with six top-20 finishes and a season-best result of 13th at Naval Base Coronado in June. Richmond marks the third race of the current short track stretch as Wright looks to build momentum through the final nine races of the season.
