Maiden Outing … Kris Wright returns to the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Trucks Series (NCTS) for his 48th-career start on Friday afternoon at the Charlotte Motor Speedway ROVAL and is making his first appearance with MHR. The Pennsylvania native will pilot the No. 16 F.N.B. Corporation Chevrolet Silverado RST with crew chief Darren Fraley calling the shots. The inaugural NCTS event at the ROVAL marks the first of two scheduled appearances for Wright in the No. 16 entry this season.
Back at It … Friday’s event in the “Round of 8” for the NCTS playoffs marks Wright’s first start in the series since competing at Pocono Raceway in 2024. Most recently, Wright posted a fourth-place finish in the ARCA Menards Series at Kansas Speedway last Friday night, and tallied a third-place effort at Watkins Glen International in August, his most recent road course outing. The No. 16 entry has made two prior starts this season with Christian Eckes at the controls, the most recent of which resulted in a ninth-place finish at New Hampshire Motor Speedway two weeks ago. Wright takes over this week to make his third overall start on the 2.32-mile course.
Tune In … Friday’s on-track activity gets underway with practice and qualifying at 11:00 a.m. ET on FOX Sports 2, followed by the green flag at 3:30 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1. Kris Wright Quote:
On returning to the ROVAL:
“I’m looking forward to being back in a truck, especially with an organization the caliber of MHR. There’s a lot of great people involved, so it will be a great opportunity for me and have F.N.B. Corporation on board again. Hopefully we can have a solid outing on Friday and get these two races started on the right foot.”
